TAKE ACTION: HELP STOP THE ATF’S PISTOL BAN

From the GOA (link here):

On this past Friday the 13th, the ATF massacred your God-given rights by finalizing Biden’s pistol ban.

This executive action will ban up to 40,000,000 pistols with attached “stabilizing braces.”

The ATF is forcing millions of gun owners like you to choose among the following options:

Rebuild your firearm at your own cost
[Register it with the federal government]

Destroy your own LEGALLY purchased firearm

Go to jail for up to 10 years and pay up to a $250,000 fine

…But Gun Owners of America has another option for you.

We need your help urging the House and Senate to use the Congressional Review Act (CRA), which allows Congress to pass a Joint Resolution of Disapproval to REPEAL an unconstitutional executive action imposed by a government agency.

Please add your name to our pre-written letter urging your Representative and two Senators to REPEAL the ATF’s pistol ban

ADD YOUR NAME

Biden and Kamala just secured a 51-seat majority in the Senate, so you may be thinking this CRA would be dead on arrival, if it passes the Republican-controlled House…

But here’s the good news: it only takes 30 Senators to force a CRA vote in the Senate.

Of course, that still doesn’t make it a guarantee.

We’ve seen how quickly allegedly “pro-gun” Senators can fold under pressure from the media and well-funded attack ads.

That’s why we need our members like YOU to light a fire under every House member and Senator to ensure a CRA is forced in Congress.

ADD YOUR NAME

The 1934 National Firearms Act (NFA) is the underlying law which gives the ATF the foothold to ban millions of legal guns – guns that were originally deemed permissible by the ATF!

Thankfully, in the previous Congress, Rep. Clyde introduced the SHORT (Stop Harassing Owners of Rifles Today) Act, which would remove the unconstitutional taxation, registration, and regulation in the National Firearms Act of Short Barreled Rifles, Short Barreled Shotguns, and those classified under “Any Other Weapons.”

The SHORT Act goes after the heart of Biden’s pistol ban by deregulating the National Firearms Act that ultimately gives the ATF the power to enforce Biden’s ban.

That’s why we’re also urging Congress to vote YES on the SHORT Act, as it will shortly be reintroduced in the new Congress.

You see, GOA is committed to using every single tool at our disposal to fight this unconstitutional assault on our rights.

In fact, If Biden vetoes the CRA or the SHORT Act, we’re urging Congress to retaliate in defense of our Second Amendment rights by cutting the ATF’s funding.

Now that the Speaker’s gavel has been taken out of Pelosi’s hands, the new House majority better make true on its promises to gun owners by using the Power of the Purse to slash the ATF’s funding.

The ATF reportedly processed 512,315 NFA forms in 2020.

At that rate – assuming no further backlog and assuming all affected gun owners comply with gun registration – it would take the ATF over 78 years to process all the pistol registration forms required by this executive action.

That’s why it’s especially critical to SLASH the ATF’s funds right now and strip them of their ability to enforce Biden’s pistol ban.

While GOA continues to fight this unconstitutional executive action on every front, we need YOUR help pressuring Congress to get moving immediately.

So please, add your name to our pre-written letter urging your Representative and two Senators to use the CRA to pass a Joint Resolution of Disapproval to REPEAL the ATF’s pistol ban.

I support and donate to the GOA, but you do realize here in Georgia we have soy boy Ossoff and crooked pastor Warnock, both devout Demowits ? they will not support anything gun related , many other states that have Republican or conservative Senators might have some say so,, but our Georgia Demowits never will go along with it

The sad part is some lawful gun owners voted for those two or didn't vote for the opposition candidate because of his past ....

Yeah I’ve sent them stuff in the past and 100% sure they never even looked at it. Meanwhile my rep (Andrew Clyde) has an AR-15 on his campaign signs. I still think clicking a few buttons is worth it.

It’s crazy how this corrupt and inept administration continues to get away with making up unconstitutional laws and bypassing congress to let the alphabet agencies run amuck.

Are there really 40,000,000 pistols with stabilizing braces? We should run out and buy more during the amnesty and flood the NFA with legal tax free SBRs. Creates a pain when selling but would serve the Dems right. No I do not believe that SBRs or silencers should be NFA items. I don’t even think machine guns should be either

We just need to look at all the liberal-infested third world cities of the wealthiest nation on earth to see how socialism and gun control works.

LA, SF, Portland, Seattle, Detroit, Chicago, St Louis, Baltimore, NYC, Philly… I just can’t wait for the other shoe to drop.

I've considered buying/building an SBR while you can do it with a free tax stamp but maliciously complying is still complying

Don’t want to register anything but like the free idea if I had to. I wonder if you would still have to engrave it?

form 1 build was the quickest stamp I have ever received.... 3 months I do believe. That still doesn't make it right.

I watched a few videos over the weekend about this, one guy is in a group of people who regularly do form 1 submissions, they've compiled a list of names of the people who sign off on form 1 applications, this is over a period of time, they've determined there are only 8 people working in that section, one person has signed off on more than any of the others, and one person that signs off on the least amount of them,

So if that is true ? they will have to expand that department tremendously,,, or the influx of people they expect will never get their form 1 applications approved in the next few years ,, much less during a supposed "grace " period

Remove the brace and it's an AR pistol again. Unless I've read that wrong.

There is verbage in there about making it unable to attach again , not sure what they mean by that ? I'm betting they mean it can't have a regular carbine buffer tube, instead it will have to have one of the completely round ones, with no notches

The verbage just refers to the brace. So remove and cut up with a saw or melt. It just can't reattach. Nothing I saw referred to the buffer tube.

Got auto replies from our senators today, pasted below. More than I've seen in the past but I have 0% confidence it'll amount to anything other than spam to them.

Ironic how they want to arm Ukraine with the same stuff they want to ban here using my tax dollars... so foreigners can protect themselves against communists?

Unfortunately those type responses are all we usually get when we try to contact politicians at the federal level, guarantee they never even see your email or comments, one of their staff will glance at it and delete it,

they don't serve anyone but themselves
