Thinking out of the box

Every now and again we get in the food rut. In my brainstorming today I have something I would like to try. Tossing this out there to see if anyone has ever waded into these waters.

Here it is: Oysters and bacon. I am thinking Hoagie Style. Smoked Oysters with fresh crumbled bacon.

Any recommendations on this venture prior to my maiden voyage will be appreciated.

I’m sure it would be good. Them rockafeller oysters had bacon on them and it’s great!

I've done grilled Angels on Horseback (bacon-wrapped oysters,) before, and they were great.

Add bacon to your oyster stew.

I recently did an oyster po'boy for my bride. I couldn't help but think how plain the thing looked with only lettuce, maters & home-brewed Pontchartrain sauce on it.

Some bacon & a little bit of Duke's would probably send it into the "best sammich ever" category.......especially if she has a side of she-crab soup with it.

I'm gonna file this idea away for next time I find myself in the doghouse.

Gotta think outside the box every now and again.
