I was standing at a mineral site when I took the picture. Both show signs of being heavily used.

It’s a drainage area so I was thinking it would wash the mineral out of the water hole.

Maybe dig it out and create a watering hole.

Put 2-3 bags of Deer Cane in it and when it dries out this spring and summer you'll have a great mineral lick.

Cleared an area last year and noticed a water hole form that was unintentional.
Longhorn - You have the making of a great vernal pool/waterhole right there. If you have the opportunity to bring in a track loader/skid steer, just dig that out a bit and down to about 3 feet and you will have a natural water hole that will hold water most if not all of the year. We have 6 of em on our place. All manner of wildlife use them.
