Need help planning tree plantings (update: Pear Project Begins Now)

Hey Folks, OK, I am a little old to start planting trees – and on leased ground to boot… but I want to start the process. My initial thoughts are to start with sawtooth and persimmons – 50 each… and do 100 trees each year. Looks like it is going to run about $5-6 per tree once you consider...

I think this covers the oaks and the pears maybe?

At least the ones I am planting this year go on the farm we bought a few years ago.

After they’re a couple of years old, trim them. If not, they will grow more like a bush.

I’ve grown a few from acorns. I babied them and had acorns in 4-4-5years. By babied, I mean watered, fertilized, grow tubes, etc.

I usually have thousands of acorns on the ground but not this year. That late frost last year got mine as well.
