I am friends with a neighbor who drives a Frontier and has had very good luck with a couple he has owned. He and another friend also had older Xterra's that were more or less trouble free. So maybe the trucks are more trouble free than the cars. I will never know as I will not try one based on my experience with the cars
BTW I tend to own cars until way after they are paid off and put a lot of miles on them.
I'm on my second Tundra( first one ten years and 200K miles) and they are much better than the Ford and GMC pickups that I had previously.
My brother is on his third or fourth Tacoma, all with good success.
Both the Tundras and Tacoma's have a front differential needle bearing that is problematic for some people. I just had to replace mine on 2020 Tundra at 70k miles
They sent me an appointment reminder saying masks was required.
The check in lady looked at me like I wuz crazy (which I am used tew) when I ask if mask was req'd or maybe she thought i was a modern day version of Earnest T Bass.
