Velcro straps for game camera

Has anyone tried using velcro straps to secure cameras? The straps that came with my Wildgame cameras are often too small for trees so I found 8 ft length of velcro rolls that I'm considering giving a try.

Will probably work, but if it gets sunlight, it ain't gonna last long.

Use paracord. It doesn't stand out as much a strap. I've used it a good bit and it works great.

I have found the gray straps blend in much better than the black ones on trees.
