I can't tell for certain from that picture but it made me realize that the diamondback is a species I've never seen in the wild. And I agree that's a cute pup.

There was a story in Robert Ruark's book 'Old Man and the Boy' about going to some secret restaurant and eating Terrapin Soup in the back room.
