Will deer be good in the morning

Find it, and take it to a processor and let him decide. According to my processor, 90% of the time the deer will be fine if shot in the evening and found in the morning even at current temperature levels.

Depends, did the deer die an hour after you shot it or did it just die. Tricky situation.

Most of the deer that we track and recover the next morning are fine to eat, if the coyotes don't get to them first.

Tracked and recovered a small buck this morning that was shot yesterday pm. Meat was fine. Near Florida line.

I shot a doe this evening and didn't make the best shot. I looked briefly and backed out will she still be good in the morning

Smart to back out. Did you go back again the next morning? And if so, did you find it? And if so, did the meat seem OK?
