Future bro-in-law and I are headed in to one of my Heard tracts. This day last year was insane with 7-8 chases that morning and I finished the day with the deer in my avatar. Hoping for a repeat to his morning!

It sure feels good to be back in a Ga tree.
I thought 6:30 would be good but should have gotten up at 6. Made a lot of racket getting in here.
Back on the club I have only hunted twice. Saw 15-20 both sits and a couple 4 yr olds.
Let's see what's going on in here.

I'm set up in Talbot. Fairly steep hardwood drain cutting through clearcut. I can see this ditch and 130yds of clearcut on the other side. Big pines up past that. Maybe there's still a little rut left in this part of the world.

1 other SUV here and 3 or 4 people walking to their spot.

I hope we got some birds. Haven't been by here in a while.

Got to eat a biscuit right quick then get settled in.

Back at the water hole, bumped a few on the way in. Since I’m near the Flint river I can tell that it’s duck season. Hope they kill at least one duck.

Whatever dove field is near me lit up about 5 minutes ago. Probably 100 shots already. I'm not even sure how they could see yet. As I type this a second and 3rd field have come to life. There is shooting coming from every direction around me now. Gonna be a noisy morning if the birds keep flying. Probably 50 more shots while I typed this.

Checked in in Middle GA. It’s foggy here..and I’m guessing Duck season just came in! Maybe it’ll make some deer get up & move!

I'm the "condo" stand in Pike co overlooking steep hardwood hillside with creek at the bottom..been a good place around this time previous years
