When it gets to be late season like now, even smaller bucks like this one are in jeopardy. He walked out into a sorghum field right before dark and was hard to see in the Bushnell scope. First shot was behind shoulder at 90 yards and he ran stumbling toward me. He stopped at the edge of the field at 60 yards and a shot to the neck dropped him. 10 1/2" Ruger 357 Maximum and 180 grain Fury bullet.

Nice gun I've heard of revolvers in 357 Max but never seen one-- I've have TC's in 357 Max great round

Thank you. Maxi revolvers are scarce, but they sure do make good hunting guns, Contenders too. The closest thing to a Maxi revolver made today is a BFR or Freedom Arms in 357 Mag. Reports are that they can be safely loaded to near Maxi performance. My FA 97 in 357 Magnum is very effective on whitetail with the proper load.
