Hogs are not game animals, you can shoot them (on private property) with anything you want.

If you care about recovering the parasite and disease-ridden varmints, you can use Remington Hog Hammer or Winchester Razor Bore or just the cheapest ammo you can find loaded with 62g expanding bullets (55g expanding cheap ammo is made for prairie dogs).

I can legally hunt deer with a .22LR here in NC, too. But I don't.

If you load buy bulk pack bullets from armorally. I use to load FMJ and SP but once I shot through all of my FMJ I just load SPs now. The cost difference is so negligible and once you buy in true bulk fashion its easier to streamline the process.
