Cades Cove and Tuckaleechee Caverns?

I was up there the last 2 days. I was surprised how crowded Cades Cove was on Monday, being a weekday, and it isn't even leaf-gawking season yet. I found out that the hike to Abrams Falls is a must-do. Well worth the 5 mile round trip hike. I didn't find it difficult, as I am used to some tough hiking, but my wife had to stop frequently for breaks. You will most certainly burn some calories on that hike, but the scenery along the way, and especially the falls, are well worth the effort.

Also went to Tuckaleechee Caverns today, which is nearby. That was really neat, and well worth the $19 (or so). Our tour guide Arlin (sp?) was very knowledgeable (and very talkative), having worked there for about 15 years.

Having spent 2 days around a ton of tourists, and dealing with very heavy traffic in Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg, I was ready to get out of that tourist trap.
