Any of you guys using a ACC crappie stix? I'm thinking about a 8ft medium action to throw jigs to open water fish when using my active target

I have (had) and 8' I accidentally broke tip off. It was an awesome rod. Now it is still awesome just shortened.

Caught these last weekend and filet them. This will be my first time frying them up. Do you cooks recommend I use corn meal or flour?

Not the biggest but the best crappie I’ve seen caught in a while ! He casted his jig out and was hooked up on his 2nd cast .

Getting right in the shallows , one hour this morning before the rain . Just me and 6 Mexicans , they were using minnows and were trying to buy my jigs when I left . I gave them a couple.

Very nice! I imagine you will be able to walk boat to boat in that area tomorrow with the decent weather. I may give it a go early next week.

The marina dock fishing for sure ended for me. Zero crappie the past few days. Time to get shallow.

I’ll be in that area a couple mornings next week myself . I’m not sure I’ve ever seen the lake stay as muddy as it is for this long . But the fish are biting

1st big 1 of the year. Kinda crazy in this little pond. Caught this 1 and about 30 that were 6 inches long.
