Good start to another weekend at our small place….,

My nephew came for his first deer hunt ever.

That afternoon he shoots this doe and later that afternoon, my brother shoots this buck crossing a green patch.

We had a big country breakfast with all the fixings and they will be headed back to the stands this afternoon.

I’m going to be tending the smoker with some baby back ribs for later this evening.

This is a little bit in advance, but merry Christmas to everybody!

No sir, I only put the sugar on the pork.

I put Montreal on the deer and cooked real slow.

Came out great.

No harvest Saturday - my neighbor had a hay ride for the kids.

Both of my hunters were on the east side and the hay ride came by at 430 or so.

Back home for Christmas Eve.
