My last one was about 5 weeks short of three years.

But that is 18 months past too long.

My last one took just shy of two years. I dropped it off November 2020 and got in back August 2022. The taxi I used was a very reputable and frequently mentioned taxidermist on this forum. Nothing but euro mounts for me from hear on out unless I take an absolute giant.

Mine usually says a year but it depends on when during the season I drop one off.

Early bow buck? May get that back before spring.

Late season rifle buck?.... may take up to a whole year.

Any more of a wait than that and I go elsewhere.

I think a year is reasonable. I like to swing by and say hi every now and then and pay $50 or $100 on my bill, that way it doesn't hurt so much when you pick it up.

I have a friend who brought a man 2 big deer 10 years ago. Never got them back.

Yeah, next month will make a year so I think I'm ok. He said in November it should be ready in January, I won't get to nervous for a couple of months.

Son killed his youth weekend. Begged the taxidermist to have him ready by Christmas. He delivered!!! Not a great pic. I will post one with him when he gets surprised on Christmas Eve.

If you pay the taxidermist more, you will get bumped up the list. I've had them back as early as 2 months.

Mine is 14-18 months and I'm perfectly fine with that. He does A+++ work.
