Step in the right direction. This buck was aged 4.5 by 2 different biologists, odds are he never would’ve been a legal buck had he been in a trophy county.

I also feel an “earn a buck” tag should be implemented in specific counties with high deer numbers. This will force folks to shoot more does, because in certain counties in the Piedmont & SW GA I’ve see doe numbers 4 and 5 does to 1 Buck.

I’m all for the rule change, but to be honest after seeing this picture If I’m being honest with myself, I’m going to have a hard time shooting one off spread. It’s gotta be one of those, when you see it you just know type deer. That’s a fine deer, and one I would gladly take, but It wouldn’t take much to be excited in the heat of the moment and have that go 1 inch in the wrong direction and be under. Especially when you don’t always get a ground level head on picture you can sit and analyze from the toilet when you’re 20ft up a tree.
