Just a few bass photo's.

Gone But Not Forgotten
Used to take a few photo's of the larger bass caught, in Florida and a few in SW Ga. Have caught bass from 15 pounds 6 ounces, but most memorable were my first ten pounder at the age of 18. a 12.5 pounder that measured 27 1/2 inches long , both from the Ocala National forest. A 13.5 pounder from lake Thonotosassa, Hillsborough Co. Fl. And there were many in the 8 to 9 1/2 pound class. haven't done so well in Ga, 8 1/2 is my largest from Lake Seminole, another from the Chattahoochee River. Could be because I don't bass fish much anymore, had rather have shellcrackers, bluegills or catfish to eat. Plus it's not as much work to panfish, or catfish. Bass fishing if you go at like I used to, is hard work. I've lost my best fishing album, but will post a few of the photo's I still have.

Most of my bass fishing was done before bass tournaments, fancy boats, fancy tackle etc. Old jitterbugs, Hulla poppers, pork rind eels, Johnson silver spoons with pork rind and finally wound up during the plastic worm era. Now I've turned it over to my grandson. His name is Son Anderson III. He's caught several nice bass, I only have the two photo's. Second photo is a 8 1/2 pound bass he caught while fishing with me in Lake Seminole, Grassy Pond area. Plastic worm. Released at our dock.

In some of the photo's you may have noticed I was very skinny. Got out of the Navy with H. Polori and the medical profession didn't know what it was. What saved me is, I have a bad ear that required antibiotics couple times a year. The antibiotics would knock the H. polori down, weight would go back up. After Desert Storm war, So many came back with the problem, government had to find out what it was. Dr's were alerted, and now I don't have that problem anymore. It's a bacteria I got in Morocco. At least thinking that is where I got it as I ate in some of their towns etc. It was a roller coaster ride off and on for about 30 years.

Very nice photo. Glad you’re doing a lot better. I liked that old Ford pickup. Looked like it was being used for its intended purpose in life.

Nice fish too!

That old Ford was a 74 F250 Ranger XLT 4x4 full time. hated to get rid of it, but due to fuel prices and an old back. Had to go to something smaller. Sold it to a fellow to pull peanut wagons. It was totaled in an accident couple years later. Another truck I liked, before the Ford was a 1966 Chevy half ton six cylinder 4x4 step side. One before that was a 1956 jeep 4x4 with an 8 foot fleet side ford bed on it. Always ran the largest tires we could get back in the day. Ford had 900-16's.
