Mountain hog down

Went into some new spots on the NF to fill my second bear tag. Didn't see any bears but after about a 1.5 mile hike in hit a good looking ridge. Slowly worked down about 600 yards with my crossbow and ambushed a beastly hog.
Hit him in the ribs with a fixed blade 450 gr bolt at 360fps 20 yards away and it didn't pass all the way through. Strangley enough the shot dropped him so I hit him again in the heart and that didn't go through. This old boar had a real thick shield on him extra grissly.
Got him chopped up and back to the truck about killed me. Heavier than most bear I've dealt with and that's just meat and skull. I don't know how much he weighed but I'm 250 so I'd imagine he was around that. Should be done good meat. I love bears but can't ever pass a hog

Congratulations on the harvest.

Good you got that thing.

Kill every one you can regardless if you're keeping the meat or not. They are devastating to native wildlife, not to mention crop land.
