Another option especially on your own land is to get the cable stakes and take a piece of flagging and mark them once you remove the trap....then just go back every year(if it's a catch spot) attach the trap and crank up again. I catch in the same places every year usually multiple times. Catch circles do not scare critters in my opinion...3 from the same exact spot this year so far...2 from another. Tight chains!!
