I have a 1971 Remington 700 BDL .30-06 with a Walnut stock. It is my go to hunting rifle, so it’s not perfect my any means; and it has killed many deer and hogs. I have seen videos on pillar bedding and glass bedding the stock to solid up the rifle. My questions are: is it worth it do this? Does it improve accuracy that much? Being that it’s an older rifle should I consider doing this?
I do not have any current issues with my rifle with accuracy. I installed a Timney adjustable trigger and it has a Leupold Var-X II 3-9x50 with Leupold bases and rings.
