I a about to purchase a handgun for defense, I have gotten lots of advice on another thread but I was wondering if anyone has ever owned/shot a Stoger Cougar?
I looked at the Glock Model 23 today and I like it but I am not sure about that trigger safety? It has to be good or it would not be a Law Enforcement weapon but I am not sure about that. Anyone every accidently fired one?
I also was looking at the Stoger Cougar 40 cal. It is identical to a Beretta (since it is made by Beretta) but is only $400 instead of the $500 Glock. I would love to hear from someone who has one of these. I have a Stoger 12 gauge and it is a fine weapon, I have hunted with it in the rain and shot a ton of rounds without cleaning it. They told me it would go forever so I shot it and hunted for over a year w/o cleaning to see if it would jam.
