Survey Shocking fish??

I went (telephoning) once upon a time with some (good ole boys). The only thing to come up were catfish. They were caught using dip nets. The old crank phones probably did not have as much "juice" as the profesional eqpt you saw in action.

if you ever stepped on one of those washers on the end of the wire you would think different. L ol

A lot of factors to get into with electrofishing.
Size of the fish, big fish tend to get hit harder all things equal
Conductivity of water, can’t electro fish in salt water
frequencies affect different species differently, low frequencies work good for large catfish, especially running a big cable electrode along the bottom and deeper areas where they hang out.
Type of the rig, backpack versus boat, set up of the electrodes, clarity of the water, voltages, etc. etc.
