Wet Wading foot wear...

I sprung for the Orvis ultralights with some frogg togg socks and they are perfect. Light enough to hike in several miles with no issues and no blisters. Just like hiking boots.

How much is your life worth? Rock+head+water=dead.

Broken leg+five-mile hike out=not fun.

I don't skimp on wading boots.

Agree… kinda a weird coincidence I saw the resurgence of this rather old thread, (NCH’s post)

I took this picture today on the Tallapoosa, not really thinking about this thread, but this picture kinda summed up exactly what we are talking about. In the picture you can see my homemade felt bottomed sneakers a very slimy river bottom and I believe what is an Alabama bass. Thought I would share. These felt bottoms make it much easier and safer to wet wade / swim everywhere I need to go.5424A627-AE61-4375-9231-494315E63D3A.jpeg

My Patagonia’s wore quarter sized blisters on my heels today. I’m thinking about trying the Simms next.

I think the correct answer is wading boots with a neoprene sock.

I’ve used chacos and old tennis shoes before though.
