Just use the label rate 2/3 weeks apartIt’s the devil - Japanese clover. Been battling it myself. 24-D is the ticket so you don’t kill the grass but you’ve got to hit it with a heavy dose. That stuff is tough.
Hey @NCHillbilly how do you mix your Trimec for a backpack sprayer?Hop clover, looks like. Anything with 2, 4-d should get it, as has been mentioned. Trimec would be even better.
I don't think you need anywhere near that. 4 oz per gallon should be a gracious plenty. Mix it too stout, and you might kill or injure the grass, too.Hey @NCHillbilly how do you mix your Trimec for a backpack sprayer?
I used some on a hillside a week ago at 6 oz/gallon and it seemed to work out ok.
Asking if I’d be causing trouble going to 8 oz/gallon. I’ve heard more can be less with some products. Sounds like you’ve got plenty of time with this stuff.
Thanks, gonna hit some this afternoonI don't think you need anywhere near that. 4 oz per gallon should be a gracious plenty. Mix it too stout, and you might kill or injure the grass, too.
I fixin' to go mix up some Crossbow and hit some poison ivy, pokeweed, walnut sprouts, and multiflora rose around the place. Thanks, gonna hit some this afternoon
About two ounces per gallon. How heavy do you mix the crossbow for ivy?
This^^ if you’re using a roundup/kill all, I’ll always go strong end of mixture (bug stuff too). But for selective stuff, I’ll go per label and definitely use a spreader sticker with any herbicide.I don't think you need anywhere near that. 4 oz per gallon should be a gracious plenty.
