Y'all may recognize the name from the NWTF awards list . "...the Charles Jordan award recognizes the best-sounding wing bone/cane or other material call. The award is named in honor of outdoor and wildlife conservationist and call maker Charles L. Jordan."
His book is a good read. The natural history chapters are a little dry, but you get a perspective on the origins of the bird not often offered elsewhere.
