Predator 3500 generator axle mod.

Has anyone changed out their axle to put larger pneumatic tires on it? You can buy a kit on ebay but looking at it was trying to figure out taking plastics off without breaking them.

Any luck with this? I just had to push mine across the yard with those little tires. Pain to push/pull. Something pushed up the wheel lock about halfway across.
