One off the bucket list

As I said in my G21 thread, had to put it on hold 'cause I found a pistol I've been wanting for over 40 years.

Ruger Mark I, 1966 (pre recall).
Growing up, a buddy of mine got one for Xmas and I got a Stevens single shot .22 rifle(which is still in my safe).
Was always envious and wanted one of my own.
Put 2 magazines through it and it is just as smooth and accurate as I remember.
It has some "holster rash", but I like to refer to it as "character lines"

Maybe I'll get a G21 one day.

That's a standard, not a mark I if I'm not mistaken. Mark I have adjustable rear sights. Nice find though. I have '76 Mark I and I'll never get rid of it.

You are correct. It is a '66 Standard. Thanks for the info.
That's why I like this forum, you can always learn.

Great gun, glad you found it. I had a MKII for about 25 years that I regret parting ways with.
