Coosawattee anyone?

Was curious if any fellow Trad archers hunt Coosawattee in the archery only area. Will be my first year in the area and it seems like this WMA might be my best choice...or maybe not.

Thought about coming in from the lake, but might try from the land side first.

Suggestions?

I hunted it once years ago and have also taken scout troops up there. It is steep terrain. There is road access but depending on the wind the lake might be better. It is definitely easier to drag a deer downhill to the lake

Yep definitely Up and Down!

Went up there for a couple hours today just trying to get a "lay of the land" and just curious how crowded it gets on the weekends.

Pretty woods though...

Coosawattee this week

I have never set foot on Coosawattee and have been drawn for this weekend hunt. Any areas you have heard were successful, or worth the look? :biggrin2:
