Any one else attend the 1980 sugarbowl? I was there {but don't remember much about the whole trip
} I do remember Hershel running over Note dame on UGA'S way to the NC and all us running out on the field. It was pandemonium and we all were going nuts!. We made it to the goalpost about the time it came down and in the madness I noticed and guy on the field with a big gash on his head from the goal hitting him on its way down. I took off my UGA Tshirt and wrapped it around his head and tried to keep the mass of fans from stomping him to death. My brother and I had to drag him out of the crowd to the end of the endzone where we grabbed a cop for help. I always wondered how the guy faired and hoped he healed . and I always regretted loosing that T shirt
