does anyone here hunt Lake Russell. Its a big lake but I can fish there all day and only see 2 or 3 other boats. If so, where do ya'll do good at. We fish mostly around 72

Try the first two coves on the right after you turn to run up beaverdam creek. The islands and riprap around the train tracks is a good place as well.

Here's my question...what and how do you fish? I'd like to try it out this weekend and am really set on getting a few good slabs of crappie. Are they in there? If so, what have you had the best luck with?

yea gt-i've wore em out on that riprap. as for the crappie, we have had luck but no big ones. any overpass with little jigs (green and yellow worked best). we just parked and dropped down early morning
