Up and heading out to some hardwoods in Douglas. Property owner has started to see bucks chasing so maybe it’s about to ramp up. It’s been dead a week now

Back in Monroe county sitting Hilltop in hardwoods overlooking where 3 creeks converge
I don’t think the wind bothers them as bad as we think. They tend to stay where it’s thick and move around. Hope one slips into that field.

Hunting a hardwood creek bottom this morning that has some pretty decent buck sign in it. I’ve been hunting all week and haven’t seen a deer since Saturday. The rut is supposed to be mid November here so hopefully we start getting some movement. Good luck to all the hunters this morning.

Late as usual. Walking in 15 after shooting light. Bumped 1. Ran off blowing. Get halfway up ladder look right. Doe feeding through shooting lane. Watch to let her get by and buck goes by behind her. Can't tell much just antlers. Climb on up and squirrels have built nest in stand. Clearing that out and spike walks by.

In a double ladder stand in a creek bottom. The other side of the bottom is clear cut. Seems like a nice funnel to me. Nothing yet though.
