Its going to be Monday before I can get back in the woods.
Duty calls!

This morning was a bust. Zero. Decided at 11:00 to call it quits & do a little trimming around that box stand. Then did a little scouting,since it’s still windy & misting rain. Glad I did

Beautiful morning in the woods! Pretty good wind blowing leaves from their trees.




I took a break from creepin' through the woods and watched leaves make their way to the floor of the forest. I was intrigued by this seed sprouting from a fallen pine.




I came across a tree with some wicked cool leaf patterns.






Of course it being deer season I did spy a few deer. This doe was walking up a trail doing her thing oblivious to me. Doe below her was a little more on guard. This girl presented perfect broadside shot but I was happy shooting video and watching the deer all around (outside the frame).

I had heard a guy below me shoot early and then once more. When my we got my deer back to the truck he was at his. Said he killed 2 and I ask if he wanted help. He had killed the biggest 4 pt I’ve ever seen. Actually had 8 total points body was massive as well.

I ate the best tasting mushroom on the way back to the house. I didn’t make it though, still up this cedar tree hiding from Bigfoot. All joking aside, these things are beautiful to find moving through the woods.
