Thanks all, little better pic here. I heard him tearing up some trees, but couldn’t see him. 20ish minutes later he came in checking on some does that were out in front of me. He messed up and got broad side at about 40 yds. View attachment 1266300

Sat all morning with zero
Then spot three doe on a beeline
They circle around in front and walk all the way to right under my tree.
Feed around on acorns for ten minutes
In the meantime here comes a deer turns out to be a 8 pt. Nice 3 year old and walked right into my shooting lane and I held off. Exciting 20 minutes

Forgot to say- I saw 5 dead on the side of the road yesterday between Monroe and Greensboro, Greensboro to Athens and Athens to Monroe. Approximately 90 miles.

They are moving and getting hit.

Slooooww for me here. About the same yesterday until 1130 then deer everywhere.
Sitting til atleast 12... we'll see...

U know I have not taken a pic this morning and my wife hasn’t either.
I missed the frost. Slept in like @WOODIE13 well I slept woodie just kept looking out the window saying I should of went. Lols

I’m back up at Wilkes, got in about 6:50am. Seen 6 so far. Group of 3 does and then 2 small bucks dogging a doe. Good luck all

With that said, talked to my cousin who did go to a spot covered up in white oak acorns, froze and haven't seen a thing.

I didn't want to deal with a 15 mph wind at 21 degrees, so it was 18 and 5 mph wind. Breakfast and coffee was awesome.

Will go out in a few, tomorrow should be good for a morning hunt, get the grandkids after school
