Are you an environmentalist, conservationist, naturalist?

And if so what does that mean to you? How do you apply that in your daily life, or say hunting or land management.

How about all of them without being "extremist" towards any of them?

would you like a roll or biscuit with that ?
Dinner roll.
Biscuits are for breakfast. (this could be a fight in itself).

I sold my land, except for 5 acres of pond frontage.I try to be a good steward of my pond and creek bottomland. It's a constant battle with the privet.
Had a lot of tree damage from the tornado that came through Mountville.

All of the above. I embrace using and caring for the land with respect, and in such a way that it can prosper, and in doing so, continue to provide for me and others who treat it with respect.

I don't believe that using our natural resources, whether they be oil, gas, timber or water, is evil, so long as we do it responsibly, repair what we damage. I've made a career on cleaning up the environmental messes that those before me have created by not treating the land with respect.

Great response and well said. Thanks!

If you're over 60, how many of you threw trash out the car window?

Dumped household garbage and anything else including furniture, worn out clothes, old car parts, etc. in a ditch behind your house?

Changed oil with nothing to catch the burnt oil in?

Siphoned gas out of the car to use in the lawnmower or anything else that required gas?

Piled the dead chickens outside the chicken house for the dogs that roamed the area to eat.

Shot worn-out farm animals to put em out of their misery and left em laying in the field/pasture for the buzzards.

Much better today than I ever was back then. Try to participate on all fronts in my own way to to be good for all the creation.

I would prefer to turn back the rhetorical clock a mite and express my interests congruent with a Natural Philosopher. That would make my interests, and (theoretically) actions, consistent with observing and protecting the environment sans human impacts, protecting (or conserving) the natural order, and learning from all of nature.

I am not sure that one could sincerely act or believe in any one of the three without also accepting most of the tenants of the other two.

As a hunter/fisherman, I want our outdoors to stay clean and productive. That does not mean I am for stupid things liking taking others lands or driving vehicles that make you think you are an environmentalist, when you are not.

To me, I'm a conservationist vs. an environmentalist. I don't think naturalist is in the same category, as to me, it is a scientist, like a sociologist, archeologist, oceanographer, etc. vs. a management approach. A naturalist could be either an environmentalist or conservationist.

Conservationist means taking care of our natural resources, which are there to be used and explored, so that we don't deplete them and that future generations can enjoy them as well.

The concept of an environmentalist to me is utopian. Humans have been prowling the lands for millions of years...in modern form for the past 200,000 years. That's between 6-7000 generations. We are not going to just ignore the planet and live in our little bubbles. And our current way of life is in constant interaction with the environment.

How does that impact my behavior? I pack out what I pack in, I clean up lots of other people's garbage. I only kill what I will eat. And I don't kill what I don't need to eat e.g trout when I have beef or chicken to cook. I try to minimize my footprint in the woods. Minimize erosion. Plant new trees and not use harmful pesticides that kill bees for example. I try not to destroy stream beds and I don't drive my Jeep or other vehicles through waters meant to fish. I don't believe in draining swamps for housing developments. I use porous pavers when I re-do concrete around my houses, etc.

I still use lead shot and lead fishing weights, but I try to use alternate products when I can.

Most people want to be "green" until it costs more or is more difficult, which is why it's so hard to get people to adopt the trends.
