Bamboo Groundblind

I’m thinking about building a ground blind or 2 out the stuff. I got plenty. Big sizes too. It may out last them ground blinds you buy. Who knows.

I made a blind last year out of materials available right there where I was hunting. I used pine straw and twigs sandwiched between that flimsy plastic deer fencing and used 4' garden stakes to hold it up. Worked so well ima do it again this year.

My thought too.

You you some t stakes or drive some bamboo in the ground and stack it between them, bamboo will last a while

My thought too.

I use the small ones (like the size of a script bottle) for garden trellis and bean/pea poles. Every fall whatever part of the bamboo that is on or under the dirt is rotten. The rest is solid, after a few years they get too short

Not yet. I have to drive my cart to my stands. Some have natural camo for the cart nearby the stands. One tract had the timber really thinned recently. My cart camo is gone.

Growing up in VA the woods were full of small cedar trees....we made all our blinds out of them and sat on a pillow topped bucket...

Funny thing is my buddy wanted some even after I warned him. Dug him up a bunch, he planted it, think he has one stalk living, but absolutely loves my yard.

Cedar wood I think would do great also. Glad I thought of it.
