Cool. Those are some expensive toys. Hope he contacts & contracts with nearby outfitters to generate enough $$$. I’d settle for a hand held thermal monocular myself
I can see it working pretty good in a hardwood forest with no leaves or an open pine plantation but these thick planted pines in south ga I see one doing to well. We shot a couple hogs Saturday night and once they set foot in the woods we were done with the thermal
He has recovered one deer after 35 hours, very expensive equipment that recognizes thermals from directly after hit to deceased animal receiving heat from daily sun.

Me and a buddy of mine went in and bought one together earlier this year . They are def expensive which was one of the reasons we went half together, but worth every penny. It’s crazy what you see at night in areas where you could not get to on foot, big bedding areas etc, good way for us to inventory deer as well.
