Duck Eggs- They Are Good

I can honestly say that I had never eaten Duck eggs until this morning. My neighbor has 4 ducks and a flock of Chickens 32 to be exact with only one rooster among them. He gives us eggs from the chickens often but the neighbor included 2 duck eggs in with the chicken eggs and told us to try them a day or so ago. Well the Wife boiled the duck eggs this morning and they are good, I really can't tell the difference with taste between the duck eggs and the chicken eggs but my neighbor says the duck eggs taste different to him.

Have you ever eaten duck eggs, really I wish I had a lot more of them and they are about the size of chicken eggs even though the ducks are bigger than the chickens. I also hear that guinea fowl eggs are richer than chicken eggs but I have never eaten those either.

I’m in the same boat as you, I’ve had a very few duck eggs and they were cooked into cakes or something. To make a side by side comparison I haven’t. There is a duck called a Khaki Campbell that lays a lot more eggs than normally. That breed I’d guess is for those people who really like duck eggs.

Yeap I used to have a lot of ducks. I ate most of their eggs and sold chickens eggs. But everyone that ever tried the ducks liked those better than chicken. Ducks are just too messy to keep so we got out of those except a few around the pond

I've tried them a few times from the local farmer's market. Same price as the chicken eggs, but larger. They're good, but not sure I could tell the taste difference. 2 duck eggs = 3 chicken eggs in nutrition, size, etc.

Love duck eggs. To me, they're more yaller than chicken eggs. I've eaten goose eggs, too-a big omelet in one egg. Guinea eggs are good but small. Quail eggs are good, too.

Duck eggs are richer and slightly mo betta, but duck are a pain to keep. They make a huge mess and lay all over the place. They are kinda funny critters though.

When I was a boy, we had both ducks and chickens. Our dad would sometimes fix the duck eggs for breakfast in place of the chicken eggs, I absolutely couldn't stand them. Just something about them that I hated and to this day I won't even think of trying them again.

Chicken eggs are good.
Pickled quail eggs are also good.

When we had ducks I preferred their eggs. They are bigger and had a different flavor. The yolk is also much darker.

We had 5 khaki campbells, really friendly and easy going but my goodness did they make a mess. They aren't very smart though. Coyotes and neighbors dogs got them. They didn't really seem too concerned about self preservation.

I ate quail eggs as a kid a few times. Daddy raised a few Bobwhites and I got some when he had too many for the incubator to hold. Yes they are good.
