Furbearer season

So, as far as I can tell furbearer season is during the entire small game season, which is August 15 thru end of February. This means that, except for those dates open for deer hunting I can go after hogs on public land with a centerfire rifle that entire time small game season. And if I have a big game license, of course, can basically hunt hogs with big game weapons during deer season as well. So on WMAs, I can basically hunt hogs with a centerfire rifle from Aug 15 thru end of February, except for WMAs that are closed to either deer or small game on certain dates. Is this right?

No. Fur bearer is fox and bobcat. Fox and bobcat don’t come into season until Dec 1. Fix and bobcat are the only ones you can use center fire for.

Since pigs are incidental take you can hunt them in any open season with the legal weapons for said season.

Buckshot and slugs are not allowed during fur bearer season. Shotguns are limited to #2 or smaller shot.

No Buckshot is neither a small game firearm nor a centerfire rifle.

I'm gonna say yes. Just look at the season for fox & bobcat.

Yes they are included in the small game category with a season of 12/1/18-2/28/19. For fox and bobcat you can use any legal small game weapon and center fire firearms.
