Late frost - got my “watch for it” going on….

Did the frost get the pears?

We have some trees in some locations that seemed to get burned and we have some trees that just seemed to have not put on flower - but if nothing goes wrong, we are gonna a bunch of pears for the deer to munch on this fall.

Good luck with the nut trees!
Pretty sure it wasn’t a late frost, even though we had some cool nights. Thinking it was a pollination issue, since we had some heavy rains while they were blooming.

Pecans getting green.

Live oaks looked a little ratty and they are getting nice.

Will check persimmons this pm.

It was 29 and hard frozen here this morning. Most of our trees still don't have leaves.

Came close in southern Habersham county this morn. 35° with some frost on the roof. No harm done. Full steam ahead from here on out I think!

I bought a new deep fryer at walmart this morning, and fried some trout on the back deck a few hrs ago. Holy moly at the flies. I've never seen flies this bad. Same way at gas station up the road. Hope this isn't something new. Wow
