Anybody ever do any hunting off Mulky Gap in the Chattahoochee National Forest??

Lots of area but few deer that past few years. Too many folks hunting on the early side of things in there. Cooper'S Creek area has been hunted hard the past few years. UGA is doing a study on deer up there and on Rock Creek for the next couple of years. maybe they will help to decide if its the bear or coyotes that are getting the young.

I've hunted both sides of it (WMA and open Forest Service) a pretty good bit. There are plenty of hogs and quite a few bears but not a whole lot of deer left in that area. Several years ago I flat-out missed a running boar-hog close to there that looked as big around as a 55 gallon drum.

they only captured 2 does on coopers creek wma and 10 does on Blueridge wma they were all close to the settlement for there study of putting collars on the fawns hard to believe it will be good data for what they are looking for
