Ossabaw Island Hogs - Jan 2024 Roll Call!

Who's been drawn and who's going? I'll be taking the ferry over from Killkenny with one other. It will be our second time - last time was 2013.

I have been drawn and going i have never been to ossabaw but i hunted sapelo this year did well there is ossabaw like hunting sapelo

Yes, very similar. Hunters are driven out to their selected areas in the AM, picked-up for lunch and driven back out until the evening. There are showers w/ hot water and a few 120V sockets for charging phones etc by the showers. Bring a power strip.

Yep, folks who wagered only 5 points had a 14% chance of being picked. Took 6 points for 100% chance of being picked.

Man you ain't kidding. Reminds me of my first trip to the island in Jan 2000. Temps dipping into the 20s and not getting out of the 40s. I would not camp near the water as there is always a breeze.

I think that was my first trip there that year boy fire wood was hard to come by and it's was cold

I would bet a good many don't show. Highs will get into the 60s once the hunt starts but that trailer ride in the mornings is going to be cold.
