I've done a good bit of reading up on it, just haven't tried myself yet
May just happen this fall
After you plow deep once you won,t have to plow again for many years as long as you don,t drive on it and compact the soil.
You don,t have to plow,BUT your germination rates will be lower by 20-50 percent .........depending on the amount of time to germination and birds feeding on it.Especially turkeys.

Drilled a plot yesterday with some rye grain, triticale and cc.
Had about 15 lbs left over, so I broadcasted it in a small orchard of chestnuts I planted last spring, then ran the bushhog over it twice.
Excited to see how it does compared to the plot we drilled, rains in the forecast for the next 3 days.
