Talbot County point

Found this one laying fully exposed on a sandy road. First intact point I’ve found in a while.
Seems to be lighter material than the ones I usually find, as well.

That’s a beauty.
Lucky you found it before a tire or a dozer track did!

Beauty of a beveled Bolen (I think I can see the bevel on the left side.) The color is oxidation--chalky patina. Gil

Love the indentation pic.

Nice find!
I first thought that, too. However, it's an optical illusion. Note the shadow on the left of point. That's the high side shadow of the bevel and the opposite bevel is brighter than the rest of the point. The pine needles' shadows show the sun light direction. Gil

The first pic is how I found it and had not touched it. The point was laying fully exposed in the sand.

Awesome.

I guess I was "projecting".

A lot of times, I get so worked up to put my hands on one. I forget a before picture myself.

Just bending over to pick one up feels like the same amount of time it takes a good buck to wander into range.

That is a great point congrats.
