the 2024 Random Food Thread

Grilled salmon on top of spinach salad, fried squash and home coleslaw I made...down 10 pounds.

Got some catching up to do. Snuck off late last week for a few days.

Hung out with what the Nurse calls the other woman.

Forgot to bring much selection of vegetables but made do.
Breakfast at Rocky's

Boat snacks

Course it wouldn't be a trip of mine without a few mishaps.
Made new friends
Tried a new to me Rum. Named for Hemingway's boat and a cool bottle.
Tbone and Hillbilly's favorite beer.

Even managed to catch a few fish.

Cooked em up when we got home with some squash and jalapeños.


Finished it off next day as a sandwich topped with the rest of the jalapenos.
Flung some lettuce on to make it healthy


A few other meals this week.

First time I've gotten more than 1 or 2 blueberries before the varmints got em

Think I'm caught up now.

Sweet Thang wanted Salsa for Mothers Day lunch but the place we like was closed. She chose Chinese buffet as the alternate. Only remembered to take 1 plated pic.

While this wasn't the fortune in my cookie it's the 1ive been searching for. Was in a cartoon my kids watched when they were little.

Yard bird sammy's here tonight as well but they dont look like that. Mr. Cathy's birthday should be up there with Columbus and his family given the keys to Fort Knox.

I'm not big on asian stuff, but planted some seed for my wife marked pak choy. Cooked it up a couple of times with some bacon and fresh pulled red onions. Not too bad for a side while waiting on cabbage to make.

I'm not big on asian stuff, but planted some seed for my wife marked pak choy. Cooked it up a couple of times with some bacon and fresh pulled red onions. Not too bad for a side while waiting on cabbage to make.

Lunch earlier at Pappadeaux’s with my team for our monthly birthday celebration for those celebrating this month. I was one of them for this month!
Went with the Shrimp & Grits for the (early) special occasion.


Got home. Wasn’t too hungry, but can’t resist Taco Tuesday!
