Throw and mow food plot

I have millet and sorghum food plot Going to spray with glyphosate it's up about three feet. Should I mow it down some then spray or leave it like it is . Going to spray it next week then go back up late September to plant.

If it's 3 ft tall I'd mow before spraying in order to have more new growth to hit plus better coverage of the weeds hiding below the canopy of the grass. Think horsenettle...It can be growing underneath the canopy of grass. Persistent weed if you don't get it killed and ain't no deer lips gonna come close to nibbling at plants settled in around a plot full of that thorny lil devil.
