Wannabe Greenhorn

I’ve got a real itch to get into traditional archery. I’ve killed a lot of good deer with compound and rifle and want to try something new. I have no problem getting close to deer. I just need a start in this. My budget is small. Im so tight you could probably hear me squeak . So I’ve looked at some of the takedowns on Amazon for a budget minded start. Would any of you folks recommend a recurve and arrow setup that won’t break me just to scratch the itch before I go all out? I appreciate it.

I second the Black Hunter. A polar bear was recently taken with one! Throw the string it comes with away. Mine is the longbow version and it likes a 400 spine arrow with 200 up front.
Make sure you shoot feather fletchings (not your compound arrows). Have fun!
