What to plant for Doves in SE Georgia?

I have seen a pretty good amount of Dove the last 2 years around my pond and I want to plant something this year for them.

What would be good to plant in a small area (1/2 acre)that is mostly clay? And when do I need to plant?

Brown Top Millet is a good bet for a late season dove crop. It will mature in 60 days or so with ample rainfall. See my photos of my dove field (Brown top Millet)in this thread here:

I am exicited with all the dove that I have been seeing this year already.
