Killed a nice sow with xbow on the national forest. Was stalking a ridge for about a mile when the fresh sign dried up I decided to take my boots off and relax for some lunch. About 10 minutes later heard a crunch crunch crunch threw my boots back on and made a close 10 yard shot. Old girl went down in about 50 yards. Got her caped quartered and in the freezer in a little over 2 hours. Good hunt and great meat

Mine was old too. Gray hairs on her forehead. DNR guys thought she was on the downhill, and probably bigger at one point.
