Big fox?

I havent seen too many in person but the past month ive seen four from the same stand. saw three one night that were kind of small and then i saw a biggun tonight i think it is the one in the pic. If i could see the tip of his tail i would be able to confirm it is the same one looks close to the same coloring and size. Is this a good size fox? cant wait till december to start trying my luck. any tips on how to call them in? thanks

It is a red fox. Looks about average size, and when it gets cold, it will have a fine pelt.

Beautiful red, I stopped taking them because the coyotes are wiping them out so fast. If your used to seeing Grey fox, the reds do have longer legs. But not long enough to outrun a yipper and they cant climb trees like a grey. Nicodemus is right, that dude will have a beautiful fur this winter! A rabbit,woodpecker, or fox pup in distress call will bring him in, electronic or mouth blown. If you decide to go for him, goodluck and have fun!
