Although I will be missing GA's opener, I have a muzzleloader quota hunt here in FL.

Hunting on the ground this time vs on a stand. I am excited! I couldn't hunt last year but this year looks a little more promising.

I hope to be able to share a picture holding a buck! Good luck to everyone! Shoot straight!

South Florida archery has been open for over a month.

Zone A​

• Archery season: July 29 – Aug. 27
• Crossbow season: July 29 – Sept. 1
• Muzzleloading gun season: Sept. 2-15
• Youth deer hunt weekend: Sept. 9-10 (1)
• General gun season:
  • Sept. 16 – Oct. 15
  • Nov. 18 - Jan. 7

Well.. No luck this weekend down here in FL! It was very strangely slow for the area we were at. Only 1 small 7 point taken on Friday while I was working. Movement was dead in the afternoons.. Didn't see a single buck! Only does and turkeys. I managed to take this awesome photo showing our swampy woods during our scorching 90 degree weather! Had a great time and a nice mental break! Hope you all did good in GA!
